Indefinite 00:54
safe for power not for people overstepping more than a border we used to be a beacon shining a light through the fog wont visit cant bear it fuck the law for morality now the only promises kept is internment indefinite learn your lesson this doesnt work only creates terror and disillusion there’s something better clearly better do your part --- here’s one about the humanitarian crisis the president created at the border, in an overblown, misinformed and poorly executed response to immigration. People fleeing their homes outrunning danger and poor living conditions deserve a chance, and at the very least, deserve humanity which they’ve been sorely denied in the care of the US govt thanks to hostile treatment by homeland security and ICE detention centers with no regard for their human rights.
2.
Descent 00:52
no use to anyone now sold your soul for the ballot box hollow shell spitting false truth is this what you dreamed? big house left empty bridges burned a cemetery dead dreams past hopes values morals all swing from their (own) ropes middle of the road motherfucker grow a backbone it’s time to stand for something real or just go home --- pretty fed up with the current class of politicians on all sides that value money and power more than anything else. It’s a hollow pursuit and it’s against the interests of the public.
3.
Sifting 00:59
flurries of info in a clotted haze hoping we’ll lose some sanity in the endless maze (it’s not likely) I’d like to take that smile and wipe it clear from your face make a list and check it daily there’s a pile of charred remains for the sifting (for the sifting) I’d like to take that smile and wipe it from your fucking face. You’re living in make believe --- the president needs to stop using twitter, his entitled narcissism is showing
4.
enough with the endless politeness all done trying to fix others fix it yourself you gotta learn this shit for yourself (you know that Ive been) giving too much caring too much stringing myself along when no one gives a fuck and its just me up there no reward enough to care its not my job to do this for you im drawing the line for myself im putting a plan into action you better watch the fuck out a note to myself people will always walk all over you if you continue to let them --- a personal song about creating and maintaining boundaries. Just because you CAN do something doesn’t always mean you SHOULD. It’s a learning experience and boy am I still learning, but try to take time to think about where you’re giving your efforts, and what you’re receiving in return from those people/places/things you support with your brain space, physical labor, and time out of your day.
5.
Bleeding 01:48
bleeding from the brain I saw it dripping from your ears scrubbing reason from the books I see your actions ruled by fear I see I see your childish reaction its all a front for a fascist faction red runs the fucking party line I watch you die on that hill leave a backwards trail of lies its in the silence that you kill, now I hear and Ill never forget --- oh wow the president again, I can’t believe his logic with some stuff, he’s definitely an old immovable man acting out of fear of those who are different than him because he (and many others) won’t or can’t take a single second to even try and understand the plight of those less fortunate
6.
Update 01:27
you and I both know what you meant when you said and I quote “monkey this up” next ill hear you say “thats just what they called those people back then” how a grown adult pretends not to know is beyond me strategic denial of history next ill hear you say you used to think just like me oh but what changed your mind, was it black on black crime? oh but what changed your mind did something happen that one time? If you actually look youll see none of this was ever great, no shit. --- during the FL gubernatorial race of 2018, RD said “the last thing we need to do is monkey this up” which couldn’t be construed as anything but a racist dig at his black opponent in that race. I got pissed and wrote a song about that guy and his type who say shit like “oh but my grandmother says the N word all the time, is she racist?” actually yeah she is! Or the argument “but what about black on black crime, and Chicago?” in response to police killing unarmed people of color. Bullshit apologist arguments if you ask me.

I Can 01:57
this body is electricity a fucking power plant inside of me yearning and burning vibrating, escaping, working so damn hard I can move I can change I have the power to expand my range this mindset, positivity perpetual motion to grab onto constant adaptation apply to the situation only the best you can do I can think I can learn I can grow No use in waiting my turn its so easy to think there will be a better time but don’t let it pass you by - its so easy to think someone else will handle it dont let that rule your mind- you are in control you are powerful --- a positive personal song about knowing your worth and reminding yourself of what you’re capable of! It’s easy to get bogged down by your day or lofty goals you haven’t met, or other people’s success, just try not to forget that you are in control of your own life, and you are powerful.
8.
No Interest 01:45
if the system’s dysfunctional its cause you made it that way got a participation trophy because you gave it to me whats with the devils advocate are you understanding? its about compassion for fellow human beings dont forget the allocation of wealth and property sure its come a long way but what has changed really? its just money feeding money and they’ll never lose when you own the system you profit from, you never have to choose people never vote against their own interest not even for the good of others bunch of traitors to their wives and daughters, dont ever count on them to change take a leap to make this work, focus on a brighter future, bunch of traitors to their friends and neighbors, dont ever count on them to change no interest in common ground --- a response to those who say “oh lets just meet in the middle” as if issues of people’s sheer existence could be a compromise. People of other races, genders, sexual orientations, classes, people who get abortions, people who come from other countries etc have just as much right to exist and you can’t demand apologies from them for their own expression. There is no middle ground, we must defend their right to exist wherever and however it is attacked. Compassion for the struggles of others has become a radical concept?
